A Simple Twist of Fate, 1994, 106 minutes, US rated PG 13 Steve Martin adapted a classic Victorian drama by George Eliot to the contemporary scene comedy. "A twist of fate brought them something wonderful... Each other!" Plot: Michael McCann is a man who feels totally betrayed by the world, after his wife revealed to him that their child was not his. A few years after his break up we find him living alone in a small town. But, everything in his miserable life changes when a mysterious young woman died outside his house. Her small daughter makes her way to McCann's house and into McCann's life and heart. He adopts her, names her Mathilda, and raises her, finding companionship and a new joy in life with his adopted daughter. After several years, the real father returns to claim the girl from Michael, thinking that she will be an advantage for his political career.

Something to Sing About, 2000, 87 minutes, unrated Tommy is a young man who has the voice of an angel, but the record of an ex-con. His dreams of a steady job and a better life appear out of reach until Memaw, a spunky saint with a big heart, takes him under her wing. Lilly, Memaw's granddaughter, is no less amazed by this street boy. But his childhood buddy, G. Smooth, just wants a drug-dealing partner and can't believe the old TNT has "religion" now. Smooth laughs Tommy off until he's fighting for his life.

The Amazing Panda Adventure, 1995, 84 minutes, PG. In the sweeping highlands of China, Ryan (Ryan Slater) begins a magical journey to save the life of a natural wonder. His parents are separated. He lives with his mother in America while his father, Michael (Stephen Lang), runs a panda reserve in China. When Ryan visits his father, poachers have honed in on a panda mother and cub. Ryan joins the expedition to rescue the panda. When Ling and Ryan rescue the captured panda cub, they become separated from the others. Now they must fight their way back to the reserve while being pursued by a pair of poachers who are willing to kill to retrieve the cub.
